Looking to get away for a little bit and try somewhere new? I’ve got quite the list for you and it is full with a variety of accommodation types, and they are located all over Canada! Whether you want to experience a cabin. yurt, tiny home, or something completely different – this is for you. Enjoy!
Ontario
Cabana de Amor (The Love Shack) – North Durham
An A-Frame cabin tucked away in the woods of a private property. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, there is a full size bed (that is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in to this day) and space for a great campfire hangout. They have hot water, allow dogs, and have the dreamiest property. Don’t forget to stop in to their market on the property while you’re here!

Riverside Escape – Bracebridge
A newly renovated cottage in Muskoka that is riverside. The cottage is cozy and perfect for families, couples and friend groups. 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a deck, a big campfire pit and sauna. I absolutely love staying here and highly recommend if you’re visiting Muskoka! The owner is so wonderful to chat with.

Yurt Crazy – North Stormont
A rustic 22 foot round authentic Mongolian Yurt and an unforgettable experience! Park right outside of the yurt, have a campfire and hang out in the “backyard” of the yurt. Pets are allowed and this is the perfect spot for photos as it is so beautiful and has a lot of thoughtful details put in to it. You won’t forget this stay!

Atrsy “Glamping” Experience – Castleton
This is a beautiful tiny home in rural Ontario. It has a walking trail beside it, an outdoor shower, an outhouse, a firepit and a small pool. This is a cozy space with one bed and is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet getaway. When I visited here in 2021, I visited Presqui’le Provincial Park as well as Ferris Provincial Park.

Cabinscape – Kawarthas
Cabinscape has locations all over Ontario, however I have only stayed with them in the Kawarthas in the winter. I stayed in the Goldenrod Cabin and it was so cozy! I am itching to book with Cabinscape again. There is a firepit, a shower, bunk beds, and in the Summer you can swim.

Quebec
InWoodCircus Camper – Newington
Looking for the most unique stay on the list? This is definitely it! You stay in a “Hippie Van” and if you want, the host will give you circus lessons in the tent next to the van that holds a bunch of equipment to help you “clown around”. This was such a fun stay! I will say that I recommend bringing your own bedding for this stay, and don’t expect much. But it’s fun and unique nonetheless!

New Brunswick
The Coyote at La Belle Cabane – Kingston Peninsula
If I could snap my fingers and travel to any stay in Canada right now, it would likely be this one. This stay was so cozy and perfect for my husband and I. We only spent one night here but it was just amazing!

Nova Scotia
Highlands Hostel – Cape North
My husband and I stayed here the night before our wedding. This hostel is an old church converted to host anyone who finds themselves in this beautiful part of Nova Scotia! This is my husbands favourite stay to date. We will certainly never forget how friendly everyone was there!

British Columbia
Camp Moose Trail – Golden
Camp Moose Trail offers 6 cozy private tents that are all so beautiful. There is a communal hot tub, outdoor shower, campfire and kitchen space. I spent 3 days here on a girls trip, and it was the perfect spot! I’d love to visit again with my kids, husband and some more friends. There are many beautiful trails and parks in the area as well, not to mention the suspension bridge!

So…are you feeling ready to book a trip now? I know I am itching to get going onto my next stay!
Please remember to respect the spaces you’re visiting, read the descriptions on the website carefully to understand rules, seasonal information, etc.
Happy adventuring!
