Looking for a way to kick those winter blues? Check out some of Ontario’s most incredible activities during the cold season!
Visiting Provincial Parks
Exploring provincial parks in the winter can add so much depth to them. Here are my favourite places to visit when there is snow on the ground
Algonquin Provincial Park
My 3 favourite Algonquin trails in the winter are Track and Tower, the Lookout Trail, and Spruce Bog Boardwalk (to see birds!)

Mono Cliffs Provincial Park
This is my favourite time of year to visit the cliffside trail!

Ferris Provincial Park
Ferris is closed during the winter season but you can still access the trails, small waterfall and cross the suspension bridge.

Presqu’ile Provincial Park
A beautiful park that looks like a true snow globe when you visit in the winter.

Waterfalls
Visiting waterfalls when they’re frozen and snowy is one of the best winter activities you can possibly do! Always remember to not get to close as falling icicles can be dangerous.
Tiffany Falls

Devils Punchbowl

Sherman Falls (and ice cave)

Canterbury Falls

Felkers Falls

Balls Falls

Ice Skating
I am not great at ice skating but it is still so fun. Here are my favourite places to ice skate:
Arrowhead Provincial Park

Wayne Gretzky Estate

Simcoe Valley Museum Skating Trail

Snowboarding
I am new to the world of snowboarding but in case you haven’t been:
Snow Valley

Blue Mountain

Worth Visiting
There are so many other locations worth visiting this winter. Here are a few of them:
Niagara’s Ice Wine Festival

Niagara Falls

Sunset Beach on Lake Ontario

Morningstar Mill

Well friends, I hope you have a happy and safe winter season.
