It’s almost time to say goodbye to Summer, and hello to Fall!
With Fall comes colder weather, hotter drinks, thicker clothing, and adventures full of warm leaf colours!
Hiking in the colder months certainly requires more thought about what you should wear; You want to stay warm, but also not have restricted movement. In today’s post, I am going to discuss some items from Hot Paws Canada that are near and dear to me for the colder hiking season. And guess what? They make products not just for women, but men and children also!
Keep your hands warm!
The first product I am going to recommend to you are their hand warmers. These are made for the lower temperatures, and will keep you extra toasty for up to 12 hours. You can insert them into your gloves, mittens, or even a sleeping bag!
Of course, gloves and mittens are important too. For myself, Hot Paws Canada sent me the perfect pair of mittens. I prefer mittens over gloves because I find it keeps my hands warmer longer – and these Sherpa Lined Mittens that are made with genuine leather are as beautiful as they are warm!

Parents of toddlers know it can be pretty challenging to get your little one to want to wear winter accessories like hats and mittens. But my little ones loved the colours of their new gloves and mittens, that they actually wore them! I call that a huge success.

Heat escapes from your head!
Hats are essential because heat escapes through your head so quickly, but finding the right hat can be difficult. Thankfully, Hot Paws Canada has a variety of styles and colours for everyone so you can find the perfect hat to keep you cozy all winter long.
Whether you’re on team [faux-fur] Pom-Pom or cable knits, Hot Paws Canada has you covered. Look how cute these hats are:

Now that we are ready to go, where are we going?
If you’re in need of some activity ideas to do on those colder days, why not start with these:
- Fall/winter hike
- Visit the pumpkin patch
- Tobogganing
- View holiday lights
- Go ice skating
- Try ice fishing
- Catch snowflakes
I hope you have a very cozy fall and winter!
Keep on trekking,
Katie 🥾
