Looking for a great trail to tackle with incredible views? You’re in the right place. Centennial Ridges is a breathtaking trail, and entirely worth the 10km trek.
I needed to complete this trail this year, so who better to do it with than Kresson; a gal who has completed all the hwy 60 corridor trail in Algonquin Provincial Park.

I set off on my adventure at 4:30am to pick Kress up, and we were on our way to Algonquin with an ETA of 9am. We made a stop at Tim Hortons for coffee and food, but the food was awful. I had a cinnamon bun solid enough to break a tooth, and Kress had a breakfast sandwich with lipstick prints on it. Absolutely repulsive.
Thankfully the sight of one of our favourite provincial parks quickly cheered us up! Eager to see how busy the trailhead was, we were delighted when there were just a handful of other vehicles parked there. Let the adventure begin…

The trail starts off by leading to a lookout fairly quickly. We stopped and admired the many, many trees, and continued on to find some wetlands.

Now this is about where we learned that many of the blazes were on trees that had fallen. We ended up getting a little lost and having to reroute. We accidentally followed a dried up creek, thinking it looked most like a trail! Oopsies.
Once we found our way back to the trail, it was smooth sailing to one of the most beautiful lookouts in all of Algonquin. Have a look!

We hung around here for a while to take some photos and videos (you can find them on Instagram and tiktok!)
One really great feature to this trail is that there are multiple lookout points and they are large, so you don’t have to rush or worry about holding up the spot.

We set off on our way to finish the trail off, slightly rushing because our fiancés had a game of golf to get to! Afterwards, we realized we were doing 1km in 7mins. That’s pretty impressive if I do say so myself.

We once again reached the trailhead and honestly, I could’ve done another trail after. We made great time, while still being able to soak in the beauty and laughs shared between us. I haven’t laughed that much in a very long, long time. Kress is quite the adventure buddy!

Once we were in my Jeep, we both changed out of our hiking boots and into our comfy shoes. Twinning!

Until the next adventure,
Kate 🥾
